OCF Membership Sales On Hold

NOTE: We have temporarily suspended the sale of OCF Youth Series Athletes membership until we clarify the impact of pending changes to the CEC youth membership fee structures.

Unfortunately, the OCF is unable to sell memberships at this time. We had hoped to establish a combined fee that included membership in both the OCF and the CEC. However, we have been unable to resolve all of the issues related to that goal. We hope to finalize a fee structure in the near future that benefits the entire competitive climbing community across Canada.

Since we are unable to sell memberships at this time, we will not require competitors at the Peaks Fall Flashfest to have any type of OCF membership prior to the competition. No competitors at the Peaks competition will be charged the $5 single event ‘Recreational Participant’ non-member fee.

Competitors who want to earn Youth Series points from the Peaks competition will be required to purchase an OCF Competitive Youth Membership at a later date, probably between October 14 and November 1, 2012. We will announce the exact details of this extended ‘grace period’ when we actually begin selling OCF memberships.

This situation will not apply to any other Series events. Once we begin selling memberships, all competitors at all other Series events will be required to have an OCF Competitive Youth Membership prior to registering for that event, or they will be a charged a $5 single event ‘Recreational Participant’ fee for that competition.
