UPDATE RE CEC EASTERN REGIONALS

Registrations for the CEC Eastern Regionals at True North will close on Friday, April 20 at 9:00 p.m. ET.

No new registrations will be accepted after that time.

Provisional starting list(s) should be posted on the True North website and the OCF Facebook page by Friday, April 20 at 10:00 p.m. ET.

True North will be open at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 21 for those competitors who may need to complete the check-in process, complete a waiver, require a lead test, or require a lengthy warm-up period.

The official start list(s) will be posted prior to the technical meeting on Saturday morning.

The first climber on each starting list should start climbing at approximately 9:15 a.m., following the demonstration of those routes.

We are in need of belayers (top rope and lead), and judges for the CEC Youth Regionals at True North Climbing Inc. on Sat. Apr. 21 and Sun. Apr. 22. There will be 4 sessions (2 qualifiers on Saturday, 1 semi and finals on Sunday). Hopefully, if we get enough volunteers, people will not have to volunteer for every session.

Basic Route Judging Course

Course description:
The course will review basic lead rules, new rules for 2012, advanced scoring, and route map drawing. Since the IFSC scoring has changed slightly this year, all judges for Regionals are required to take the course. Anyone who cannot make the course on Friday night, will be able to take a repeat course on Saturday morning during the first round of qualifiers. This is contingent on there being enough people in attendance Friday night, to judge Saturday morning.
If you are able to judge, even for one session either Saturday, Sunday, or both, please contact me as soon as possible. Please pass this on to anyone you think may be interested (perhaps there are some adult climbers at your gym who would be interested in helping, especially since there will be adult lead climbing at CEC Nationals this year and we will need certified route judges for that as well).
