Age categories are based on year of birth.

Notes:

* We have introduced a new Adult category this year. Previously, adults competed only in the Senior category alongside A and Jr athletes. The new Adult category allows adults to compete in their own distinct, non-youth category.

** The Senior category is a renaming of the old Open category. The name was changed in order to align with CEC categories.

Recreational vs Competitive Athletes:

• Youth E and Adult categories are only offered at Locals and considered Recreational categories
• Athletes competing in the Senior category are considered Competitive athletes
• D/C/B/A/Jr athletes may compete as either Recreational or Competitive athletes
• Competitive athletes are eligible to qualify for Finals at Locals, Series Points,  Provincials, CEC events, HP program
• Recreational athletes compete only at locals and do not advance to finals
