Boulderz Etobicoke will be hosting the OCF Youth Bouldering Provincials on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 12 & 13, 2015.  Qualifiers are on Saturday and Finals on Sunday.  Registration will open on Monday, Nov. 23 at 10:00 a.m.   Please ensure you read the eligibility requirements and that you register before the deadline – Tues. Dec. 8, 11:59 p.m.  NO registrations will be accepted past this deadline.   These Championships will not only decide our provincial bouldering Champions, but your placement will determine who is eligible for Bouldering Nationals, Feb. 13/15, 2016, also at Boulderz, Etobicoke, ON.

Volunteers are desperately needed for this event.  At the last youth comp, which included 170 athletes, approximately 30 people volunteered all weekend.  We need more help!  Even if you can give an hour or two on one of the days, it would be greatly appreciated.  These comps cannot run without volunteers and we should not rely on the same people, every time.  Some people may not be aware that all of the judges,  ISO monitors, ISO runners, and registration and camera people are all volunteers. The gyms provide staff for the gym operation, but are not expected to pay staff to run the comp.  They close down their business and let the comp takeover their gym; this is a big enough sacrifice.  Please read this post from a committed volunteer, Sue Carkner, about her experiences.
